Well I finally put this thing together. Thanks to Standard Byke Co again for building this little ripper frame fork and bars for my son, he was totally stoked on it Christmas Morning. This photo was taken at 4 am, about 15 mins after final assembly was completed.
After seeing how bitchen my motor came out. My buddy Chris caught the pan bug. He snagged up this 63 and sent it off to my good buddy, now his good buddy Mr. Noot It looks very nice...going to be a very nice little swing arm panhead.
I really haven't been writing much. Shit a few months or more and I hadn't even wrote more than a sentence or two. Life just gets so damn hectic and the next thing you know a whole summer has passed you by. Just wait, 24 fucking degrees outside. This summer just got outta wack for me, my motorbike was outta commission since the first of June and sold my 450 mid summer. So that made me resort to riding my bmx for the first time in 5 years. Really it was pretty cool getting back to pedaling around. Either way two wheels is two wheels right. Well thankfully I got my shovel back running with a little help from my good friend Noot... JUST IN TIME FOR COLD RAIN AND MIXED SNOW FLURRIES. Oh well that's how it goes sometimes, now that winter is on its way and garages are filled with beer cans and heaters we can get our projects in full gear and crank out some bitchen motorcycles. Me my panhead is just about ready for mock up...stay tuned pictures and posts will be more frequent again.
Had a really good time riding in Dport today...good seeing my good friend Rick Moliterno
at Standard Head Quarters...sometimes when you meet people of a god
like ability they tend to take on this unapproachable aura making anyone
who comes in contact uncomfortable. Lots of the time doing this
purposely to ward off contact with the simpleton. RPM on the other hand
is a stand up dude running a bad ass byke manufacturing company in my
home state...never have I ever had anything bad to say about this dude,
he always has been down to shoot the shit about what ever....thanks for
the info Rick...
Man I have been really random as of late with posting on here...sorry for the lame effort...work, kids and motorcycle probs have kept me off two wheels for a major part of this summer...I hope this isn't a trend for me, got my top end back together yesterday to have the fucking already fixed spark plug hole fuck me again...well its only money and time right...this shot sure makes you wonder how big of balls you must have to jump like this with out the safety gate of a throttle...
before I promoted this site just wanted to make sure they keep up on their shit...like posting pics, articles, vids, and promo shit everyday all day...well they seem to be on top of shit...like way more on top of shit then me...but here is the link if any of you BMX guys wanna visit a bitchen site from time to time http://canyoudigitbmx.com
This past week this world lost a good friend and father. He was part of a circle of friends that I have been close with since we were kids. You know even though the past few years everyone had started families, moved around, and only spoke once in a great while...we all shared a common interest and the memories from years past. The memories of riding BMX all over the Midwest acting like idiots riding like idiots and partying like idiots sure makes for some shit that wont be forgotten. I remember Brian and a few of us going to ride at Rampage Skate park. First thing he does when we get there is smith grind this ungrindable ledge that seemed to be in the fucking rafters. We all had great times doing this thing we all came to love, Riding BMX. Man I was really bummed hearing the news, I really couldn't think of any other way than riding and drinking a few beers to help a few of my brothers get this tragic event off their minds. Its a sad sad deal when it takes an event like this to break a 10 year hiatus from riding dirt but it seemed to help a little bit. It is safe to say I am outta shape and sore as fuck this week, but honestly I was super stoked to ride with my nephew and my brother from another mother Kenny. I think Logan caught the bug for sure. Thanks for riding Kenny.
We lost a good friend, he will be missed by all but not forgotten by any...his laugh especially
Its always great to just randomly have a song in your head for no apparent reason....this song brings back a lot of memories of my old man playing records at top volume on his Kenwood record player...it was fucking loud as hell...a couple 12's, mids and highs just shaking the whole house...Black Sabbath and ACDC where played non stop while I was growing up...might explain some shit, might explain A LOT OF SHIT hahah...but you cant fucking say old shit like this will ever die...
How bout this for my boy....His first bike is a STANDARD 250L....thanks to Rick and the crew at Standard Byke Co. for building this custom 16 inch bike for my little boy...I am totally fucking stoked on it....
A buddy of mine opened a new little bizness a few weeks ago...I used to, but haven't in years, but know a few that still do, and if you need a device he can hook you up. Hazy Hideaway is the name of the shop, they will have a blog and what not if you are looking to order.
